It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing Theresa Lauer on December 17th, 2025. Born on December 16th, 1937, Theresa lived a full and vibrant life, leaving behind an enduring legacy of love and resilience. Her departure from this world, though heartbreaking, is a passage to well-deserved rest and peace.

Theresa is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Glenn, daughter Christine (Bob), daughter Theresa, son Robert (Annette), son David, and daughter Luann (Trey) brother Fred, sisters-in-law Dolores, Gladys (Lorenzo) as well as 17 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 26 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Lewis and Aline, her son Glenn (Jasna), grandson Michael Nease, her brother Louis, sisters Ruth and Frances, as well as sister-in-law Cathy, Rita, Barbara and brother-in-law John, Jack, Larry, Tom and Ron.

Theresa spent many wonderful years in Hamilton, Ohio, then to Indianapolis, Indiana and Paoli Indiana, before moving to the Villages with her husband Glenn.

She attended University of Dayton, Ohio. The University saw her thread her way through knowledge and wisdom, setting the stage for a life that was anything but by the numbers. As the master seamstress of her family quilt, Theresa's homemaking was the stuff of legend - her cookies were never half-baked, and her hugs were not a one size fits all. When not stitching love in everyone's heart, she was known to be drawing blood as a phlebotomist - but always in the nicest possible way, leaving her patients feeling oddly uplifted, even despite the circumstances.

Theresa was a devout soul with a habit of turning faith into action, Theresa was a pillar of St. Timothy's Catholic Church in The Villages, where prayers and puns were equally revered. Her spirit was as buoyant as a pool noodle, and she could often be found making waves at The Villages pool at Hacienda, dabbling in paints like a true Picasso-ette, planting anything and everything in her amazing garden, as well playing Mah-jong to win. She also loved to volunteer with a gusto that would put superheroes to shame. If it was something she could volunteer for, she was there.

Theresa's life was a testament to her loving and adventurous spirit, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
