Ann Sarah Antos (Todd)
March 28, 1952 – December 12, 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce that Ann passed away peacefully at home in Gig Harbor, WA on December 12, 2025 after a prolonged illness. Born in Seattle, WA to the late A. Edward and Elsie (Boling) Todd on March 28, 1952, Ann was raised in Ballard and Des Moines, WA and was a Gig Harbor resident since 1975. Ann met Tom at the University of Washington in 1971 and married him with daisies in her hair three years later. In 1975 they moved to Gig Harbor where Ann became deeply involved in volunteer efforts including food and household assistance with the Peninsula FISH Food Bank. After the birth of her daughters, Ann met her longtime business partner and friend, Cheryl Gardner. Both talented sewists and business people, they opened a children’s store, Giggles & Co., and merchandised clothing and gifts from dozens of local artisans for over 20 years. Ann volunteered thousands of hours designing and constructing costumes for community theaters including Paradise Theater and Tacoma Musical Playhouse where she met and mentored many young people who considered her family. Ann is survived by husband of 51 years Tom, daughters Jennifer Antos (Taylor Kendall) and Sarah Gouwerok (Arick), her grandson Nico, her brother Ed Todd (Janice), and many significant loved ones. Services will be private. Arrangements by Edwards Funeral Home, University Place, WA. In lieu of flowers the family recommends memorial donations to the Tacoma Musical Playhouse or the Gig Harbor Peninsula FISH Food Bank.
