Luther Earl Pearcy (“Luke”), born February 2, 1942, in Alabama, was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He married the love of his life, Dorothy “Dot” Pearcy, on December 26, 1960, beginning a marriage defined by love, commitment, and shared life experiences.

Luther carried with him the values of his Alabama roots and was known for his unwavering dedication to family. His steady presence, loyalty, and deep care for those he loved left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

He passed away at home, surrounded by loving family, on December 17, 2025.

Luke proudly served his country for 24 years in the United States Air Force, retiring with the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. Following his military service, he continued his professional career with Lockheed Martin, where he worked until his retirement in 2009.

An extremely talented artist, Luke created many extraordinary oil paintings and numerous personalized caricatures for family, friends, and co-workers. His artwork brought joy, laughter, and lasting memories to all who received it.

In his younger years, Luke was a private pilot who enjoyed hunting, fishing, panning for gold, metal detecting, and riding his motorcycle with his wife. He was also an avid golfer and participated in an annual Male Bonding Golf Extravaganza with lifelong friends and family members—a tradition that spanned decades and reflected the strong relationships he cherished.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Dorothy (Dot) Pearcy; his four children, Deborah Nelson, Karen Pearcy, Jo Anne Freeman, and Luther “Luke” Pearcy; ten grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild on the way, a testament to the enduring family legacy he helped build.

Luke’s integrity, loyalty, compassion, sense of humor, and devotion to his family were the core of his existence. He will be forever in our hearts and deeply missed by many.

A full military honors funeral service will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026, at Fort Logan National Cemetery, located at 3698 S. Sheridan Blvd., Denver, CO 80235. Guests are requested to arrive at the funeral entrance no later than 2:15 p.m. and follow the signs to the “White” staging area (please remain with your vehicle). Cemetery staff will lead the vehicle procession to the committal shelter. Carpooling is encouraged.

A reception will follow the ceremony at the Danny Dietz VFW Post #322, located at 3800 S. Windermere Street, Englewood, Colorado, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Luke’s name to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
