Barbara "Bobbie" Ann Braucht, born on July 19, 1939, in Jersey Shore, Pennsylvania, met her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 26, 2025, in Warner Robins, Georgia, under the care of her daughter, Richelle. She was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to many. Her love and devotion for her family, her Savior Jesus, the Word of God, and the continuous work of the church was evident to all who knew her.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Kathryn Nichols Bonnell, and her devoted husband of 59 years, William King Braucht. She is lovingly remembered by her children: Richelle Turner (Brad Cass), Craig Braucht (Barbara), and Eric Braucht (Shirley). Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren: Ian (Hannah) Turner, Emily (Jordan) Clements, Sara (Bill) Dougherty, Nathan (Nikki) Turner, Mackenzie (Chasen) Strawn, Graycen Braucht, Marissa Herriott, Leyanah Herriott, and Carter Braucht, along with 14 great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy.
Bobbie graduated from Jersey Shore High School, and married Bill in 1958. Bobbie took great pride in her role as a homemaker for most of her married life, cultivating a nurturing, sacrificial, and loving environment for her family. She loved the Christmas season and spoiling her children. She was a fantastic self-taught chef, where evening meals were highly anticipated. With her children grown, Bobbie worked as a secretary at Calvery Road Baptist Church in Alexandria, Virginia. She served in the nursery, taught Sunday school, assisted in the nursing home ministry, and sang in the choir at Central Baptist Church in Woodbridge, Virginia where she and Bill attended and faithfully served the Lord for many years. Her desire for spreading God’s word and her active involvement in church were testaments to her love for Jesus and others.
A celebration of Bobbie's life will be scheduled at a later date.
Barbara "Bobbie" Ann Braucht will be missed by all that knew and loved her. 2 Corinthians 5:8 “to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.” Eternally in Heaven now, her desire would be that all would come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. John 14:6, Romans 1:16, John 3:16, and Philippians 4:8.
