Marci Miller, beloved wife, and dedicated educator, passed away on December 27, 2025, in Wilmore, Kentucky, at the age of 91. Born on October 13, 1934, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Marci was a woman of deep character, known for her compassion and dedication both in her personal life and her career.
Marci spent over 31 years as a devoted teacher at Lafayette High School, where her passion for education inspired countless students. Her commitment to her profession was recognized in 1977 when she was honored as Kentucky's Teacher of the Year, a testament to her unwavering dedication and impact on the lives of those she taught.
Marci shared a remarkable partnership with her husband, Robert "Bob" Miller; together they celebrated 69 wonderful years of marriage, enriching each other's lives with their love and shared interests. The couple enjoyed many travels together, creating cherished memories that would last a lifetime.
Marci is survived by her loving husband, Bob, and her adopted grandchildren, Margaret Hughes and Marcie Hughes, who will carry forward her legacy of kindness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Gertrude Raupe, who instilled in her the values of hard work and compassion that she displayed throughout her life.
The family will be planning services to honor Marci’s life and contributions at a future date, allowing friends and family to gather and celebrate the remarkable life she lived. Marci Miller leaves behind a lasting legacy of love, inspiration, and dedication to education. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
In June of 2016 Marci and Bob moved to Wesley Village in Wimore, KY and the village has become a major part of there family. A memorial service will be held there at a future date.
