Steve Lee Caudill (July 12, 1952 - December 17, 2025) loved our Lord and his family. He was born in Kentucky and as a young child his family moved to Indiana where he attended Indiana University for his bachelor’s degree, doctorate in dentistry, and specialty certificate in orthodontics. He lived his remaining 38 years in Merritt Island and Indian Harbour Beach, Florida.

Steve will be remembered as a gentle and kind husband by his devoted wife, Janet, of 50 years. He was a loving and nurturing father to his four cherished sons, daughters-in-law and three precious grandchildren. His eldest son Ryan and his wife Meredith Caudill live in Satellite Beach, FL with their children, Ryleigh and Elliot. Ross Caudill and Joanna Maltese live in Springfield, NJ with their son, Ethan. Reid and Kirsten Caudill live in Seattle, WA. Richie Caudill and his partner, Sarah Beaudoin, live in Brooklyn, NY.

Steve will join his parents Bobby Caudill and Lyda Emerson Caudill and his youngest brother Jeffrey in Heaven. Steve's oldest brother Mickeal and his wife Donna live in Muncie, Indiana. His brother Jerry and his wife Jenny live in Noblesville, Indiana. Steve's Uncle Dennie Emerson and wife Janet also live in Noblesville, Indiana.

Steve built a successful orthodontic practice and created nearly 3 decades of beautiful smiles. He was a well-respected colleague and active member of the dental community. Steve worked alongside his son Ryan for about 5 years. For many, his legacy will continue through the impact he had on his patients, his dental office team and his mentorship to Ryan who continues the practice.

Steve had a curious mind, an adventurous spirit and loved to travel with his family. One of his favorite places was Weaverville, North Carolina in the mountains, where many friends and family enjoyed time together at the Caudill Cabin. He also had a love for sports, especially Indiana Hoosier basketball (and currently football) and the Florida Gators.

Steve leaves many loving friends who will miss him dearly. He was a cherished member of the community and a man of strong faith who will be remembered for years to come. We take comfort knowing he is now at peace in the arms of his Heavenly Father. God loves us all, more than we can imagine.

We will gather for a remembrance of Steve's life on January 19, 2026, at Trinity Wellsprings Church in Satellite Beach, FL. The funeral will begin at 2:00 PM with refreshments following.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Mahali pa Maisha, a missionary for vulnerable children and abandoned babies in Kenya. You can donate here: mpmkenya.org/donate. Steve fell in love with this organization after visiting and volunteering in 2012.
