Charles W Ruel, Sr of Summerfield FL passed away peacefully at home on December 24, 2025.
Charlie was born in Dedham Massachusetts on June 5, 1926. He was a proud WW 2 veteran.He served in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and the Philippines. He was awarded the WW 2 Victory medal for the Philippine liberation. He loved his country.
He was a member of the Veterans club of Del Webb, Spruce Creek. He loved the ocean and animals. He was an instrument rated pilot, avid golfer, poet and a life long learner.
He was pre deceased by his wife of 42 years, Irene.
He is survived by his three children, Charles W Ruel Jr and his wife Molly, Thomas G Ruel and his companion Donna and Deborah A McLaughlin and her husband John. He also has two grandchildren, Chuckie and Megan’s and one great grandchild, Bailey, his loving companion, Cheri Quinlan, many nieces and nephews and friendships that were invaluable.
He was much loved and will be greatly missed.
A Memorial service will be held at the Horizon Center at Del Webb, Spruce Creek on January 18th from 2-4 .
