Mrs. Valerie Conferina Sisneros (Lucero), age 78, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2025, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Born on March 10, 1947, in La Loma, New Mexico, Valerie lived a life rooted in love, faith, and devotion to her family.

Valerie was a devoted wife to the late Jose Reyes Sisneros, with whom she shared a deep and enduring bond. Since his passing seventeen years ago, she carried his memory with her every day. The comfort of knowing they are now reunited brings solace to those who loved her.

A dedicated homemaker, Valerie poured her heart into raising her family and creating a warm and welcoming home. She was a loving mother to Fabian Sisneros and his wife Gabi Sisneros, and Irene Quintana and her husband Rick Quintana. Her nurturing spirit extended to her grandchildren—Morgan Quintana and Devin Quintana—and her great-grandson Gabriel Orosco, all of whom brought immense joy to her life.

Valerie’s love for her family knew no bounds. She cherished time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandson, often showering them with thoughtful gifts and affection. Traveling with her son was one of her greatest pleasures, as were the quiet moments tending to the flowers in her garden—a source of peace and happiness for her.

Her passion for angels was evident in the beautiful collection she curated over the years. Each angel held special meaning for Valerie and reflected the grace and serenity she brought into the lives of others.

For over four decades, Valerie was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Colorado Springs. Her faith was a guiding light throughout her life and provided strength during times of both joy and sorrow.

Valerie is also remembered by her siblings: Andres Lucero and his wife Rose Lucero; Stella Pino; Ponciano Lucero; Angela Pacheco; Onofre Lucero and his wife Dorothy Lucero. She joins in eternal rest her beloved parents Merejildo Lucero and Francis Lucero; brothers Merejildo Jr. Lucero, Sosteno Lucero, Freddie Lucero; and sisters-in-law LaLa Lucero and Rose Lucero.

Valerie’s legacy lives on through the love she gave so freely and the memories she created with those closest to her. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
