Sarah Lynne Ruddy, 70, of Palm Bay, Florida, was called away peacefully on Christmas Day, 2025, surrounded by her family after a brief yet valiant battle with cancer.

Daughter of Frances Ziedelis (predeceased) and Lynn Holden (predeceased), Sarah was born on May 31, 1955, in Boston, Massachusetts. She grew up in Canton, MA, with her siblings and loving parents, Frances and Edward Ziedelis (predeceased). Family-first, as demonstrated by Frances and Edward, remained a core value and priority in Sarah’s life. She loved to laugh! Her heart was full as she celebrated life's special moments with her family and friends, always making everyone feel welcome and cherished. Sarah would say, however, that her GREATEST joy was her family. Her husband and soulmate, Raymond, a supportive and constant presence, filled Sarah’s heart with unconditional love and laughter. 

A devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, Sarah lived with quiet strength and grace, resilience, and love through all seasons of life. She treasured simple joys...sun-filled days at home by the pool with Raymond and their 3 fur babies. She loved visiting and making memories with her children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, and nephews in New England. Sarah also relished the time spent on her “girls’ trips” with her sisters, daughters, nieces, and any add-on gals. There was a feeling of belonging and love just being in her presence. Sarah created a family bound by closeness, love, and laughter. Her gentle spirit, steady presence, and enduring love will be seen in every sunrise, sunset, and in those quiet moments we yearn for her voice and touch. 

Sarah survives by her loving husband, Raymond, and their 3 beloved dogs...Turbo, Lace, and Gemini. Her amazing smile, full heart, and generous soul leave her children, Michelle (husband David), Michael (wife Laura), Stephanie (husband Gene), Patrick (wife Hannah), Shayna (husband Jacob), to continue her loving legacy. Sarah also leaves her siblings, Jim (wife MaryEllen), Anne (wife Judi), Amy, Linda, Gary, Bob, brother, and sister-in-law Chuck and Claudia, to share their memories with those left on this side of heaven. Sarah's nine grandchildren, Joshua (Grace), Ethan, Conor, Kylie, Jaylen, Evan, Benjamin, Jordan, and Christian, will forever be covered in her love and protection. Sarah’s many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends will feel a tremendous loss, but will quickly realize that she is just a heartbeat away in every thought and breath. Her presence will live on in our hearts and minds in the daybreak amidst the cardinals singing, the waves crashing, and every sunset. 

Sarah’s life will be celebrated by all who knew and loved her. We will not cry; we will rejoice in the blessing of knowing and loving her, only to be exceeded by being loved BY her. 

The life of our beautiful Sarah will be celebrated privately at a later date.
