Michael Benet Rodgers, 71, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born in Columbia, South Carolina, Michael lived life with passion, loyalty, and heart. A proud Clemson Tigers fan, he especially loved watching the Tigers take the field on football Saturdays. His enthusiasm for the game was matched only by his devotion to those he loved most.

Michael’s greatest joy was his family, whom he cherished deeply. He also found freedom and camaraderie riding motorcycles alongside his club members, a pastime that reflected his adventurous spirit and love of fellowship.

A natural athlete, Michael played sports while attending Brookland-Cayce High School in Cayce, South Carolina, where he developed a lifelong appreciation for teamwork, discipline, and competition.

He was preceded in death by his parents, C.B. Rodgers and Adele Rodgers.

Michael is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Virginia “Gigi” Rodgers; his children, Nicole Rodgers and Sean Rodgers (Lexie); his sisters, Chris Rodgers, Kathy Risinger (Ray), and Suzanne Strickland (Eddie); and his beloved granddaughters, Whitley Smith and Bailee Dyches, who brought immense joy to his life.

Michael will be remembered for his loyalty, his laughter, and the love he shared so freely. His legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
