It is with great sadness to announce the passing of William R. Peacock who leaves behind a legacy of service, dedication, and love for family and community. He proudly served his country in both the United States Navy and the United States Air Force, exemplifying commitment and patriotism throughout his military career.

William devoted 45 years of service to Robins Air Force Base, where his strong work ethic and reliability were well known and respected. He was also a longtime member of the Macon Motor Club and greatly enjoyed spending his leisure time fishing, a pastime that brought him peace and joy.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sue Peacock; his parents, General Robert E. Lee Peacock; and his brothers, Harvard Peacock and L. C. Peacock. William is survived by his son, John Peacock; his sisters-in-law, Brenda Peacock and Peggy Peacock; and a host of nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.   William R. Peacock will be remembered for his service, loyalty, and the quiet strength with which he lived his life.
