Colleen Doody (née Barkalow), 69, of Sicklerville, New Jersey, passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2025.
Legacy
Born and raised in Freehold, New Jersey, Colleen later settled in Washington Township, where she raised her family and spent most of her life. Colleen will be remembered as a devoted wife and mother, a caring friend and neighbor, and loving grandmother. She was a passionate Philadelphia sports fan and had a lifelong love for animals, proudly supporting many local animal rescue initiatives. Colleen enjoyed vacationing with family in Ocean City, New Jersey and attending car shows with her husband and fellow members of the British Motor Club of Southern New Jersey.
Family
Colleen was the beloved wife of Edward Doody of 44 years, dedicated mother to Patrick Doody and Erin Lewin (Jason), and a cherished grandmother to Sydney Lewin and Noa Lewin. She is also survived by her siblings Jim Barkalow (Sharon), Mary Kalinauskas (Rick), and Daniel Barkalow (Kathy), along with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Patricia Barkalow; her brothers, Michael and David Barkalow (Jane); and her beloved dog, Bella.
Farewell Tribute
Services will be private at the request of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Colleen’s memory to her favorite animal rescue, City of Elderly Love, at cityofelderlylove.org or by mail to PO Box 2212, Southeastern, PA 19399.
