Celebration of the Life of Judith Lynn Wagoner will be held at the Durham Memorial Hall in Durham, CA on Saturday January 17, 2026 at 12 noon.

 

Judy was born on June 29, 1943 as Judy Coon and she passed away on November 8, 2025 at Enloe Hospital after a short illness. She is survived by her Son Scott Emmett Wagoner and brother Richard Coon.

 

She was predeceased by her Son Tim.

 

Judy graduated from Durham High School in 1961 and attended Chico State and Yuba College. She was very active in Durham activities including California Federation of Women's Clubs, Jr. Membership, California State Council on Developmental Disabilities, Brain Injury Policy Institute, and Easter Seal Society. From 1971 to 1982 Judy was the Executive Director of The Durham Recreation and Park District including supervision of the building of the Durham Swimming Pool.

 

In 1983 Judy became the President/CEO of the Easter Seal Society of Northern California in Chico and was responsible for the annual Telethon among her many duties.

 

Judy moved to Chicago in 1990 and worked for Confidential Investigative Consultants and in 1994 She accepted a position with Katten Muchin Rosenman Attorneys Firm as a Billing Coordinator and later transferred to the Los Angeles Office through 2005.

 

In 2006 Judy moved to Las Vegas, NV and worked for Fisher Phillips attorney as the billing officer. In 2017 Judy retired and returned to Chico. Judy will be greatly missed by here family and many friends. In lieu of flowers or gifts, please make donations in Judy's memory to the charity of your choice.
