Peder Andreas Kryski, 45, of Sacramento, CA, passed away on December 11, 2025. He was born in Yuba City, CA, on February 23, 1980.

Peder attended St. Isidore Catholic School, Yuba City High School, University of the Pacific, pledged SAE fraternity and eventually earned a bachelor's degree in environmental studies from Sacramento State University. A passionate naturalist, Peder had an unwavering dedication to nature. He found beauty in the Sutter Buttes, the Sacramento and American Rivers, and was an avid outdoorsman, fisherman, and hunter.

Whether kayaking on local lakes or fishing with rod and reel, he would often share pictures of his catch-and-release trout and bass. Peder was also an exceptional marksman, known for his accuracy in both deer and duck hunting.

He had a gift for storytelling, and his detailed accounts of his adventures were a source of great enjoyment for his family and friends. Peder was famous for his peach milkshakes and BBQ skills, though he was less popular for his morning tradition of giving his nieces marshmallows and candy. As a family, we cherished many summer vacations at Clear Lake, where we spent time fishing, tubing, wakeboarding, and enjoying Fourth of July fireworks with all the cousins.

Peder's travels took him to Germany, Canada, and Costa Rica. Most recently, in October, he joined his parents on a trip to New Orleans, where they visited the World War ll Museum, a meaningful experience for Peder and his father.

Last spring, Peder and his partner, Nicole, traveled to Africa, where they immersed themselves in the breathtaking landscapes, delicious food, and exciting hunts. One of the highlights of his trip was bagging a record-setting Kudu in Zimbabwe - it was the hunt of a lifetime in one of his favorite places and he was deeply grateful for the opportunity.

Peder's love for life, his enthusiasm for the outdoors, and his adventurous spirit will be dearly missed.

Peder is survived by his parents, Dr. Charles and Jane Kryski; brother Charles Kryski Jr. and sister-in-law Jennifer; three nieces, Emma, Elizabeth and Charlotte Kryski; sister, Jane Kryski Morris and brother-n-law Michael Morris; and sister, Karin Kryski.

Funeral Mass will be held at St. Isidore Church 222 Clark Ave., Yuba City, CA, on January 6, 2026, at 11:00 AM. Reception to follow.

The family suggests donations be made to the Sacramento Zoo 3930 West Land Park Dr., Sacramento, CA 95818 or California Waterfowl Association 1346 Blue Oak Blvd., Roseville, CA 95678.
