Laura Catalfamo, age 89, passed away in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was born on October 28, 1936, and lived a life marked by faith, service, and devotion to family.  

Laura was a proud military spouse for 27 years, standing faithfully beside her husband, Philip Catalfamo, whom she married on October 11, 1958. Together, they embraced the responsibilities and sacrifices of military life with grace and dedication.  

A devoted Catholic, Laura’s faith guided her life and shaped her compassionate spirit. She was known for her commitment to caring for others, especially children. Laura served as the Assistant Director of the Childcare Center at the United States Air Force Academy, where her leadership, kindness, and dedication left a lasting impact on families and colleagues alike.  

Laura is survived by her loving family: her daughter Susan and Susan’s children, Kellen, Marisa, and Matthew; her daughter Karin; her son Philip and his wife, Chenoa; her son Brian and his wife, Cathy, and his daughter, Montana; and her son David and his wife, Donna, and their children, Teagan, Shayne, and Devin. She is also survived by her cherished great-grandchildren, Hayden, Alayna, and Avery.  

Laura will be remembered for her quiet strength, steadfast faith, and lifelong service to her community and country through her family and profession.  

Funeral services will be held on January 9, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. at The Springs Funeral Service (North), located at 4310 Austin Bluffs Parkway, Colorado Springs, CO 80918. Burial will follow at Pikes Peak National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m.  

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that charitable donations be made to the March of Dimes in Laura’s memory.  

Her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
