Lucille Capano, 92, of Gloversville, NY passed away peacefully on December 31, 2025. Born March 22, 1933 to Margaret and Bruno Mosetti, and raised in Gloversville, she graduated from Gloversville High School in 1951.
Lucille lived life with curiosity and passion. She spent 12 years in Clearwater, Florida, where she earned her black belt in karate and enjoyed visiting museums. Her adventurous spirit, sense of humor, and love for learning touched everyone who knew her. Lucille also had a deep love for cooking for her family, creating meals that brought everyone together and filled her home with warmth and laughter.
Lucille dedicated 35 years of her career to Decca Records/MCA Records, where her hard work and commitment were deeply valued.
She was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Luann Marek (Alfred). Lucille is survived by her sons Michael Capano Jr. (Julie) of Tampa, Florida, Mark Capano (Elizabeth) of Ballston Spa, NY, and Matthew Capano (Tammy) of Gloversville, NY. She was a proud grandmother to six grandchildren: Michael Capano III (Crystal) of Woodruff, SC, Dominique Capano (Eric) of Mayfield, NY, Alexander Marek of Jacksonville, FL, Travis Marek (Erin) of Tampa, FL, Kristin Capano-Havens (Peter) of Mayfield, NY, and Trista Morreale (Jacob) of Broadalbin, NY. She also leaves behind six cherished great-grandchildren: Isabella Capano and Anthony Havens, Talia and Angelo Morreale, Angelina Robaina and Grace Lentini. Lucille is also survived by her brothers Victor Mosetti (Mary) of Gloversville, NY and John Mosetti (Gladys) of Gloversville, NY, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
Lucille will be remembered for her strength, independence, and zest for life. Her legacy lives on in the love of her family and the memories they share.
Services will be held January 8, 2026 from 4 PM to 6 PM at Betz, Rossi, Bellinger, and Stewart Family Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street Gloversville, NY 12078.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Lucille by sharing a meal with loved ones and cherishing time together.
