Rose Hicks of Columbia, South Carolina passed away peacefully on December 25th, 2025, at the age of 70.
Rose was born on March 25th, 1955, to James and Mary Jane Buchanan in Burton, Ohio. After graduating high school, she worked for several years in the manufacturing and service industries.
Rose and David Hicks were married on October 29th, 1975, in Clarke County, Nevada. They went on to have three children, Glen, Chris, and Whitney, during which time Rose became a full-time homemaker.
Rose was a dedicated Christian who enjoyed gospel music, sweets, and a good T-bone steak. She had a beautiful laugh and persevered in faith through many of life’s challenges. She will be deeply missed.
She is survived by three children, seven grandchildren, one great grandchild, two siblings, and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and her beloved, David.
A celebration of life will be held in private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations and prayer requests be made to your local church.
