Lore Kary Lynn , 97, of St. Petersburg, FL, passed away on January 3, 2026 at Bayfront Medical Center in the Suncoast Hospice unit. Born in Nuremburg, Germany she arrived in the United States in 1940 as a Holocaust survivor. She and her family settled in New York City.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Werner Reis, and her husband of 65 years, Walter Martin Lynn. She is survived by her son, Kenneth, daughter-in-law Sue U. Lynn, and grandson Jacob Lewis Lynn.
She worked for 40 years as the head bookkeeper at a small fashion accessories company in the garment district in Manhattan. In later life, Lore was a valued volunteer at the Menorah Life senior community, putting in over 15,000 hours of her time.
She was a fierce supporter of her family and friends and was a strong, resourceful, and independent woman. She will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Her memorial service will be at 12:00 PM on Friday, January 9, 2026 at the Anderson McQueen funeral home at 2201 Dr. MLK Jr. St. N in St. Petersburg. She will be interred next to her husband at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park in Clearwater. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to menorahlife.org/donate.
