Jimmie Ray Rogers, 86, loving husband of Bonnie Puckett Rogers for 69 years, suddenly passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 21, 2025. He was born in Graefenburg, Kentucky, on March 26, 1939, to the late Nevel Scott and Ruby Mae Pierce Rogers. After retiring from IBM, Jimmie's favorite pursuit was selling real estate for several years, which he did alongside his youngest brother, Larry. Jimmie enjoyed watching basketball and golf and was a standout player in his younger years. He cherished his family and deeply enjoyed their company. In addition to his beloved wife, Bonnie, he is survived by sons Darrell Ray Rogers (Iris), Cliff Rogers, Eric (Joy) Rogers and his daughter, Julie (Daniel) Diamond; his brothers, Harold David (Debbie) Rogers and Larry Keith (Theresa) Rogers; 12 grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Beulah Terrell, Bernice Peters, Beatrice Broyles, and Claudine Catlett, and his brothers, Lewis Rogers and Vernon Rogers.
A gathering for family and friends to pay their respects and share happy memories will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Larry K. Rogers Coldwell Banker Realty, 820 Main Street, Shelbyville, KY 40065
