Charlane (Susie) Samprucci passed away peacefully on December 8, 2025, surrounded by family, daughter of Bum and Charlotte Heath. Charlane was a lifetime resident of Ione, CA. Charlane was raised on the family dairy farm, which she frequently told stories about "life on the farm". She worked at Preston Youth Authority for 40 years. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She loved the ocean and the mountains and really enjoyed her once-in-a-lifetime trip to Alaska. She was a large part of the Ione Alumni; she helped coordinate the annual dinner for many years. She enjoyed the following clubs: Bunko, Card Club, and the Old Timers' luncheons. She was always quick to spread cheer and love to family, friends, and the Ione community. She was a loving mother, grandmother, auntie, and friend. She will be missed dearly by family and friends.Survived by children Launa (Craig), Cory (Marie), Wes (Stephannie), seven grandchildren, and numerous nephews and nieces. A Memorial service will be held at the Ione Methodist Church on January 31, 2026, at 12:00 pm. Burial will be held afterwards at the Ione Public Cemetery. The reception will be at the Ione Memorial Hall (VFW Hall).
