Carolyn (Cary) Elizabeth Preston was born on October 29, 1927, to Chester and Harriet Beall, in Marshalltown Iowa. She went to be with the Lord on January 4, 2026.

She grew up in Iowa and attended Grinnell College. She married Kenny in 1946. In 1967 she and Kenny packed up the boys and moved to Arizona. She loved living here. She was a member of the Mesa Country Club and loved playing golf and bridge. She taught many people to play bridge over the years. She worked selling real estate for Brookie Coleman and loved meeting people and finding them the perfect home.

She is survived by her son, Joseph Preston (Joni) and daughter-in-law, Nancy Preston, 4 grandchildren, Anthony Preston (Jennifer), Dustin Preston (Brea), Karli Kelley and Shelley Cronenberg (Adam), 11 great grandchildren Zach, Jake, Luke, Brody, Kyler, Noah, Ryder, Logan, Mattison, Chelsea and Maggie.

She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Preston, and her son, John Preston.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Lions Clubs International Foundation or the Arizona Humane Society.

Services will be held on Sunday January 11, 2026, at 2:00pm at Meldrum Mortuary 52 N Macdonald Mesa AZ. 85201.
