Ray Edwin Vanderpluym, born February 8, 1953. Passed away on December 16, 2025; peacefully surrounded by family at Memorial Central Hospital in Colorado Springs. He was preceded in death by his parents Francis and Josephine Vanderpluym , and his sister Rosemary. Ray is survived by daughter Danielle (Stockwell) Vanderpluym; and sons David and daughter in-law Tracy and Dominic Vanderpluym. Grandsons Landon and Kaydon; his former wife of 17 years Linda Vanderpluym; and nieces Kaylynn, and Kelly, and sister Jean; many cousins and friends. Ray served his country as a veteran of the United States Navy. He worked at Riviera Kitchens in Colorado Springs for many years; and King Soopers. Ray enjoyed camping, attending movies, going to restaurants and watching anime. He was a big fan of the Denver Broncos, and loved spending time with his close family and friends Mat, Jessica and their boys. His unusual sense of humor will be greatly missed.
