John Klock, known as Jack, died on December 30. 2025 at SUNY Upstate Medical Center after a long illness. John was born in Syracuse on August 11,1938 to (Mary) Agnes Murphy and Walter Klock. John attended St. Anthony of Padua Church where he was baptized, took first communion, was confirmed and attended school through 11th grade.

John and his mother lived with his maternal grandparents, John and Anna Murphy, first, on the near Westside and later, on the Southside of Syracuse. John followed his grandfather into apprenticeship for sheet metal work, joining and remaining a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union #58 for life.

He remained on the Southside until 2005 when he moved to the relative quiet of Cato, NY. He enjoyed long days with his golden retriever, Brianna, cutting and splitting firewood and visiting neighbors.
