Linda Lee Willer, of Jefferson, WI passed away on January 7, 2026, at the age of 82.
Linda was born on November 11, 1943, to Betty Lou and Warren Troxel in Longview, Washington. She spent her childhood in Illinois and eventually graduated in1961 from Watertown High School in Watertown, Wisconsin.
On April 11, 1964, she married James “Pete” Willer. Together they had two children, Diana & Peter.
Linda dedicated much of her working life to caring for others. She served as a caregiver with Bethesda, St. Coletta, and the Jefferson School District. Her giving spirit extended beyond her work, as she also volunteered for Able Trek Tours and the Watertown Humane Society, advocating for animals in need.
Linda enjoyed a dizzying array of interests. She found joy in gardening, birdwatching, sewing, and arts and crafts, and she especially loved singing in the church choir. In her later years, she delighted in telling stories of her childhood and kept her caregivers thoroughly entertained with her singing and playful antics.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Jim Willer; her son Peter Willer and his wife Abby; her granddaughter Sarah Singsime; her grandson Nate Singsime; and her great-grandson Joey Singsime. As well as extended family throughout the country. Linda is preceded in death by her daughter Diana Singsime.
The family extends a GIANT thank you to the caregivers and staff at Dimensions Living in Jefferson for their kindness, dedication, and loving care.
A visitation and celebration of life will be held Thursday, January 15, 2026, from 3:30 to 6:00 p.m., with a short service at 6:00 p.m. at Schneider-Michaelis Funeral Home, 900 W. Racine Street Jefferson, Wisconsin. Come as you are.
In lieu of flowers, please consider honoring Linda by showing appreciation to caregivers in your community—perhaps by sharing a meal or treat with staff at a local assisted living or nursing care facility. Linda would have loved that.
