**Obituary for David "Corn" Henry Wallace** It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of David "Corn" Henry Wallace, who left us peacefully on December 18, 2025, in Aurora, Colorado, at the age of 59. Born on July 30, 1966, in Guam, David grew into a remarkable man whose legacy of kindness, generosity, and humor will forever resonate with all who knew him. David was a devoted husband to Tina Pope, sharing laughter and love throughout their life together. He was the beloved son of Bettye Wallace and was predeceased by his father, Jack Wallace. David was also a cherished brother to Doreen Wheat, who is married to Marty, Kathleen "Snooky" Davis, who is married to James, and the late Charly Miller, who was married to Loren. David was also a great stepfather to Aaron and Angela Rogers and a wonderful grandfather to grandkids Tyrese, Savanna, A'Niyah, Brent and Makenzie. He leaves behind not only family but also his adored pets – dogs Penny, Nugget and their cat, Mason.
A proud graduate of Riverton High School in 1984, David gave his all to everything he pursued. His career took off when he joined Del Monte Fresh Produce in March 2002, where his dedication and hard work quickly earned him the title of General Manager in Aurora until January 2021. He subsequently excelled as an Operations Manager for DHL eCommerce and most recently served as Plant Manager at Alan Ritchey, Inc. David was known for his attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and his innate ability to mentor those around him, helping others become the best versions of themselves. Beyond his professional achievements, David was a kind-hearted and hilarious soul who loved to play pranks, keeping lives light-hearted and filled with laughter. He took immense joy in his interests, whether it was walking his puppies in any weather, cheering on the Houston Astros, or attending NASCAR races in Texas. In recent years, he found great solace in RVing with Tina and their furry companions, immersing himself in the beauty of the great outdoors.
Served honorably in the United States Marine Corps from October 1984 to November 1995, achieving the rank of Corporal E-4 and possessing a good conduct medal, David exemplified the values of loyalty and integrity befitting a true servant. A military honors ceremony will be held at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, located at 4400 W. Kenyon Avenue, Denver, Colorado, on January 30, 2026, at 10:30 am. Following the ceremony, a buffet lunch will be hosted at their home at 25524 E. 2nd Avenue, Aurora, Colorado, where friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the American Cancer Society in honor of David, as they continue to fight for a cure for Lymphoma. David "Corn" Henry Wallace will be deeply missed, yet his memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the pleasure of knowing this extraordinary man. May he rest in peace.
