William was an avid bicycle rider. He entered the RAAM(Race Across America) 4 times and completed once. He was 46, 47, 48 and 49 years of age respectively. During the time he was in Japan serving in the Marine Corps he met and married Tammy Masako (Yamashita) DeBreau in 1960. He is survived by two children, 3 grandchildren (there were 4, but one died of leukemia) and 5 great grandchildren (there were 6, but one died). He loved to talk once you got him going. Someone once made a comment that he didn’t talk and William’s reply was,”You may not want me talking once I get going.”. We miss him dearly.
