Antonia Salcido, 89 years old, of Gilbert, AZ, passed away peacefully on December 29th surrounded by many loved ones.

Born 1936 in Chihuahua, Mexico to Felix & Augustina Gutierrez. She dedicated her life to her family first and foremost. She was a very strong, determined woman who helped raise 4 generations of love.

She was very well known for her delicious red Chile enchiladas, great advice, and stern scolding when we all needed it most. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Chon Salcido and 4 of her 11 children - Betty Costido, Mike Garza, Oscar Garza, and Vera Salcido.

She is survived by 7 Children - Martha Sanchez, Olivia Chavarria, Ben (Peggy) Salcido, Robert (Nancy) Salcido, Esther Fernandez, Lydia Salcido, & Victoria Salcido and her daughter in law, Ursula Garza.

Antonia has 25 grandchildren (1 of which is deceased), 59 great grandchildren (3 of which are deceased) & 17 great great grandchildren with an 18th on the way. She also had her 2 fur babies, Fozzy and Spade, who she adored, that will miss her dearly. 

A viewing will be held at Meldrum Mortuary, located at 52 N. Macdonald, Mesa, AZ, 85201, on Wednesday, January 21 from 4:00PM - 6:00PM and funeral services to be held Thursday, January 22nd from 10:00AM - 12:00PM with an unescorted funeral procession immediately following to Mesa City Cemetery located at 1212 N. Center St., Mesa, AZ, 85201
