**Obituary for James S. Denig**

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of James S. Denig, fondly known to friends and family as Jim, who left us on January 6, 2026, at his home in Aurora, Colorado, at the age of 62. Born on August 20, 1963, in the state of Ohio, Jim brought laughter, warmth, and a contagious love for life to everyone around him.

Jim is survived by his beloved spouse, Otilia Becerra Olivas, and his cherished daughter, Demi Joslin. He also leaves behind his sister, Barbara Fairchild, brothers-in-law Ernest Hoffaess and Dennis Cochran, sister-in-law Marilyn Denig, as well as a host of loving nieces and nephews who will miss his humor and sage advice. After earning his Bachelor’s Degree, Jim dedicated himself to his career as a Warehouse Manager. His work ethic was only matched by his passion for Ohio State football. Whether he was cheering from the stands or in front of the TV, Jim’s enthusiastic support for his team was legendary among friends and family.

A visitation to celebrate Jim's life will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2026, starting at 2:00 pm, followed by a Funeral Service at 5:00 pm. Both will take place at Romero Funeral ~ Chapel of Repose, located at 15150 E Iliff Ave, Aurora, CO. As we bid farewell to Jim, let us remember the joy he brought into our lives and the countless memories we created together. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and a life well-lived. Rest in peace, Jim—your spirit will always be a part of those who loved you.
