Jimmie Ray Green, 77, passed away on Friday, January 9, 2026 at the VA Hospice in Lexington, KY. He was born in Ironton, OH on February 24, 1948 to the late Carl Green and Emma Ruth Perkins Green Dunn. Jimmie was a Veteran with the US Army; a member of the 173rd Airborne Brigade; and served two tours in Vietnam. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for meritorious achievement in ground operations against enemy forces in Vietnam as well as the Air Medical for his participation in aerial flight maneuvers. Jimmie went on to be an instructor in weapons at Fort Bragg until he was discharged. Jimmie worked for the VA Medical Center until he retired.  

Jimmie is survived by his ex-wife, Elaine Craft.  

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Albert Charles Dunn; his aunt, Ruby Mokas; his uncle, Bill Mokas; and his First Cousin, Linda Brammer. 

No services are planned at this time. Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Woodford Humane Society, VFW, or American Legion.
