Mark Herrera, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed away on January 6, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, love and unforgettable memories. Mark was truly one of a kind – known for his quick wit, big heart and the way he could light up any room with his humor and presence.
Mark had a deep love for his family and was fiercely devoted to those he loved. He was a proud and loving husband, and an incredible father, always putting his family first and making sure they knew how deeply they were cherished. His love showed not only in his words, but in the countless ways he supported, protected and cared for those closest to him.
A natural comedian at heart, Mark had the rare gift of making people laugh even on their hardest days. His sense of humor, playful spirit and contagious laughter will forever be remembered. He was the guy everyone gravitated toward – the one who could turn any moment into a memory.
Mark also had a passion for music and a love for Harley-Davidsons, finding freedom, peace and joy in the open road and in the songs that spoke to his soul. Whether riding, listening to music, or spending time with family and friends, Mark lived life with heart and intensity.
Mark’s passing has left an immeasurable void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed by his wife, his daughters, grandchildren, family, and his many friends who were blessed to be part of his life.
Mark is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Lisa; daughters Jennifer (Brian) Yturralde-Dillman of Redding, CA, Theresa Herrera of Sutter Creek, CA, Kristen Herrera of Fortworth, TX; grandchildren Matthew Herrera, Christopher Herrera, Jason Pezzi, Brandon Dillman, Jimmy Meyers, Jessie Meyers, Mason Pearson; brothers George Herrera, Bobby Herrera, Randy Herrera; mother-in-law Alberta “Bert” Yturralde. He is preceded by his parents, Robert and Mary Herrera, father-in-law, Freddie Yturralde.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date to honor Mark, share stories and celebrate the incredible man he was. Details will be shared when arrangements are finalized.
Though our hearts are heavy, we are grateful for the memories, the laughter and the love Mark gave so freely. His spirit will live on in every joke told, every song played and every mile ridden in his honor.
