Frank “Skip” Jones, 94 of Auburn, WA, passed away peacefully on December 16th, 2025.  Born in Auburn, WA, on August 4, 1931, Skip lived a long, full life serving his community, family, and friends.    

Frank graduated senior president of his Auburn High School class; and, then married his high school sweetheart, Edna May Hansford, before enlisting and serving four years in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.  

Frank worked as a parts specialist for General Motors Company before becoming owner & operator of Auburn Health Food Store.  Frank also remodeled homes.

As a devoted member of Calvary Temple Church in Auburn, he served as a deacon and helped with church ministry activities.  He was also a member of Gideons International. 

Frank owned a boat and enjoyed camping, fishing, and duck hunting. 

Frank is survived by his three daughters, Susanna Herrington, Cynthia Carroll, Shelly Matson; eight grandchildren, Charles Cowart, Joel Cowart, Matthew Cowart, Rachel Carroll, Brandon Carroll, Jason Liedtke, Daniel Liedtke, Jennifer Matson; and nine great-grandchildren.

Frank was predeceased by his parents and his wife Edna Mae Jones, brother Jim Loan, and sister Eileen “Lanky” Bender.

Skip loved everyone and easily made friends. He was known for his kind nature and winning smile that left lasting impressions on all who crossed his path. 

A Memorial Gathering with lunch will be held on January 19th, 2026, at 10:30am, at Faith Family Church NW, 702 Auburn Way N., Auburn, WA 98002.
