Glenna Ruth Waterman passed peacefully on January 10, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Glenna “Ruthie” Drane was born November 24, 1937 in Peoria, Arizona. She met her beloved husband, Robert James Waterman in the 8th grade and then became high school sweethearts, married in 1956 before graduation, and remained married over 60 years.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Robert, and all her siblings; Clete, Delmer, Roy, and Gaila as well as her parents, Grace and Harry Manz.
Bob and Glenna started their young family in Arizona, but moved to Colorado in the early 1960s to start a brave new adventure. Glenna and Bob lived life to the fullest from homesteading in Parker to motorcycle treks with family and friends. They raised their four children, grew in faith, finally retiring to Monument, Colorado. Glenna is survived by all four of her children and their spouses. The eldest, Wendy Waterman, Daniel and wife, Cindy; Robert and wife, Debra, and their youngest daughter, Cara and her husband, Jase Campbell.
Glenna and Bob’s priorities were always to be of service to God, their church family, and the community with their pride and joy being their nine grandchildren (Joshua, Amy, Megan, Christopher, Erin, Cody, Cassandra, Ryan, Jenna) and later, two great-grandchildren (Alexa and Sage).
On Wednesday, January 14, at 11 a.m. at TriLakes Church in Monument, Colorado, the memorial service and celebration of Glenna’s life will be held. Donations may be made in her name to St. Jude's Research Hospital, a charity that Glenna loved and supported.
