Ronald Southard, 83, of Dayton, NV, passed away on January 7, 2026.
Ron served on the Yuba City Counsel from 1978 to 1986, as Mayor of Yuba City, CA, in 1980, and again in 1986, and on the Sutter County Board of Supervisors from 1989 to 1992.
Ron's career was in real estate in the Yuba-Sutter area for 40 years, retiring in 2006 from the California Department of Real Estate.
During his retirement years Ron and his wife split their time between Yuba City and Tennessee until settling in Dayton, NV, in the Carson City area.
Ron is survived by his wife, of 40 years, Linda; daughters, Sandy of Yuba City, CA, and Joanna of Elk Grove, CA; stepsons, Bart McEndree (Stephanie) of Montreal, Canada, and Tedd McEndree of Sacramento, CA; three grandchildren, London Morrison (Brooks), Hayley McEndree and Hannah McEndree; five great-grandchildren, Isabella, Reese, Cal, Celeste, and Annabelle; and brother, James Southard of Palm Desert, CA.
Services to be provided by Ullrey Memorial Chapel on January 20, 2026, with final rest in Sutter, CA. Family suggest donation to favorite charity in lieu of flowers.
