David spent his last 12 years on dialysis and eventually moved to North Port, FL to be closer to his Mom, sister and brother as his health declined.  He received a kidney transplant in June of 2025 and passed away due to complications 6 months later.

His Dad, and stepmother Phyllis Gasco predeceased him. He is forever in the hearts of his  Mom Connie, sister Gail and husband Raymond Soderman all of North Port, Fl, brothers:  William and wife Michelle of Vero Beach, Fl, Joseph and his husband Robert Allen-Gasco of Fountain  Inn, SC, Alan Gasco of So. Grafton, MA and Wayne Hopkins and his wife Tina of Liberty SC, step-brother Gary Soderman of Douglas, MA, step-sisters, Sandy Stopyra of Worcester, MA and Cindy St. Andre of Manchaug, MA plus many nieces and nephews.

He was a lifelong Boston Bruins fan and enjoyed watching the Red Sox, Patriots and Nascar.  He also enjoyed Fantasy Football and the occasional trip to the Casino, whether in California or Florida. He was a member of the North Port Moose Lodge 764 and a supporter of Moose Heart and many other charities.  There will be a memorial service planned in the near future in conjunction with the Moose Lodge.  David will be buried at Fairview Cemetery, Grafton, MA on a future date. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Kidney Foundation or St. Jude’s.
