Christopher John Cavagnetto Obituary
November 12, 1962-December 27, 2025
Christopher passed away unexpectedly on the morning of December 27, 2025 at his home. He is survived by the love of his life, his daughter Astrid, Astrid’s mother, Jennifer Anderson, father Charles, sisters Elyse and Sheila, and brother Michael. He also leaves behind nephews Matthew, Anthony, JJ and niece Natalie as well as his father-in-law, Richard Anderson. He is preceded in death by his mother Norma, brother Andrew and brother-in-law, Jonathan Scott.
Chris was born in Queens New York to Charles and Norma Cavagnetto on November 12, 1962. He had the great fortune of living in many places, including Oxfordshire England, Crete, Greece, New York City, California and Oregon. His love of travel took him to many far away and exotic places. He was truly a world citizen and cared deeply for Human Rights for all people. Being an animal lover and environmentalist inspired his lifelong commitment to vegetarianism.
Chris was an avid reader and a history buff. He spent much of his free time reading books with a cup of tea or coffee. Other interests included classical music, coffee, soccer, birds and walking. He regularly logged 10,000 steps per day. Chris and his friends would raise a pint glass every night, virtually or in person, to toast each other. His greatest joy, however, was spending time with his beloved daughter. Happiness would radiate from his face when they were together. Chris clearly knew and expressed that his purpose in this lifetime was to be a father to Astrid.
Chris had the deepest, purest, kindest, innocent, empathetic, loyal heart of anyone we knew. He had many friends from around the world, of all ages and walks of life. Although there is a deep void in our hearts, but we will remember him with happiness. Please toast him when you raise your glass, remember him when you smell the aroma of brewing coffee, hear morning birdsong, or remember him in any way that is special to you.
Please feel free to donate to any Human Rights cause in his memory.
