William (Bill) Jensen

November 19, 1942 – December 26, 2025

William “Bill” Marvin Jensen passed away peacefully on December 26, 2025, at the age of 83. He was born on November 19, 1942, in Clatskanie, Oregon to Norman and Laura Jensen. Bill moved with his family to the Seattle area as a toddler, where he spent most of his life.

Bill graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1960 as a National Merit Scholar, reflecting his lifelong dedication to learning. He went on to serve his country honorably in the U.S. Army Reserve Medical Service Corps for more than 20 years, retiring with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.

Professionally, Bill devoted much of his career to the medical field, working at the University of Washington as a Biomedical Equipment Research Technician and Certified Hemodialysis Practitioner. His work was marked by precision, creativity, compassion, and a strong sense of responsibility. Later in life, Bill and his wife, Sharon, settled in Sequim, Washington, where they ran a veterinary practice together, blending their professional skills with a shared love of animals.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Jensen, and his brother, Jerald Jensen. He is survived by his brother, Richard Jensen; his daughters, Julie Weathers (Edrick Weathers Sr.) and Laurie Castillo (Enrique Castillo); and his grandchildren, Edrick and Natalie Weathers.

Bill enjoyed sailing, bird watching, and cultivating bonsai trees. He will be remembered for his intelligence, quiet dedication, and steadfast sense of duty.
