Jacqueline Pierrette Uchner, age 90, of Fountain Colorado, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 10, 2026. She was born on February 9, 1935, in Royan, France, to Jacques Jules and Gisele Marcelle Fradin. Jackie was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend to all.
She met her husband in 1956, Harold Junior Uchner, an American soldier stationed in France. Through the military, they lived in France, Germany and Colorado. Jackie and Harold shared five children.
Jackie enjoyed working at Pikes Peak Manor in Colorado Springs as the Director of Laundry for over thirty years, retiring at age 74. She worked tirelessly and cared deeply for the residents and staff at the facility.
Jackie was independent, strong willed and a caring mother. She was a beautiful French woman with a set sense of style in dress and jewelry. Jackie loved Siamese cats and her interests included shopping, going to casinos and taking numerous trips with or to visit family. In later life, she enjoyed watching game shows, doing word search puzzles and playing cards with family.
Jackie is survived by: her brother Jacques Fradin (Claude); her children Marie Uchner, Catherine Wedo (Mark), John Uchner and Sandra DeGraaff (Gregory); her grandchildren Nicholas Wedo, Christopher Mace, Derrick Uchner, Nicole Tamela, David Uchner, Elroy Uchner and Lauren Pontis; and 17 great grandchildren. Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son Frederick Uchner and her grandson Daniel Uchner.
