Tristan Anthony Boccucci knew from an early age what he wanted to do with the time that was given to him. Even as a boy he spoke of being a husband, a father, and a man of integrity like his dad. While he did grow to become all of those things, he was so much more as well. A gentle giant. A prankster with a boisterous laugh. A consummate chef. A diehard fan of Tolkien, Star Wars, and Clemson football. A passionate and principled businessman. A voracious reader. An elite high school and collegiate track and field athlete. An enthusiastic (if not always rhythmic) dancer. A man marked by courage and selflessness who consistently put his loved ones’ needs ahead of his own. A music lover with wildly eclectic taste. A lovable goof who wasn't ever afraid to laugh at himself. Tristan was born on February 25, 1984, to Ralph and Deborah Boccucci in Charleston, where he was raised and lived his entire life. He graduated from Bishop England High School and attended Winthrop University. He and his father ran a successful contracting business for many years. Tristan later gained expertise in disaster restoration before ultimately purchasing the Zerorez of Charleston franchise last year. In early 2008 Tristan met Andrea Jett of Spartanburg. Sparks flew and the two were married in October of that year. Their family soon grew to include two brilliant and beautiful children who were the absolute lights of their parents’ lives — Mary Elizabeth, born in 2010, and Michael, born in 2014.Our family encourages you to remember Tristan with the same light and joy he brought to the world. The best way to honor his memory is by doing the things he loved: Be kind to an animal. Tell a “dad joke.” Belt out your favorite song at the top of your lungs whether you’re on key or not. Remind someone you love them in word or in deed. A funeral service honoring Tristan Boccucci will be held Friday, January 16, 2026, at St. John the Beloved Catholic Church at 28 Sumter Avenue in Summerville. Visitation with the family begins at 1:00 p.m. followed by a funeral mass at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Tristan’s name to the American Heart Association.
