Lorraine T. Sabourin (Lorrie), 85, of West Melbourne, Florida passed away January 12, 2026 at Holmes Regional Medical Center after a short illness. She was born on September 15, 1940 in Springfield Massachusetts to Leonel S. and Dolores F. (Pigeon) Hamel.
Lorrie was the proud mother of three children, Mark, Kelley and Daniel Bolduc. She leaves her sisters Diane Adamcewicz (Alex) and Anne Hamel along with four grandchildren; Joshua, Sean, Ian and Caitlin Bolduc. Along with many cousins. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
She was a graduate of Commerce High School in Springfield, MA class of 1958. In 1960 she met and married her first husband Cyril A. Bolduc. She raised her family and later retired from a lengthy career at Shriners Hospital.
Lorrie and Frank Sabourin were married in 1991 and enjoyed thirty wonderful years together before his passing in 2021. She loved to travel and they went to France several times to visit the location of her ancestors. They also went on several European & US cruises. Lorrie was an avid reader her whole life and she especially enjoyed anything to do with the culinary arts.
She spent many warm and wonderful years at Buena Vida Estates in Melbourne, FL where she made so many friends who will miss her dearly.
Lorrie was a practicing Roman Catholic and was a member of the St. George Catholic Community of the South Patrick Chapel at Patrick Air Force Base, Satellite Beach, FL and sang in the choir for 14 years. She loved to sing and continued to do so at every opportunity.
Funeral services will be held on January 20, 2026, 1pm at Ascension Catholic Church, 2950 N. Harbor City Blvd, Melbourne, FL.
There will be a service held at the Agawam Veterans Cemetery, Agawam MA in the late spring, date and time to be determined.
Memorial donations can be made to Shriners Childrens Hospitals or PBS.
