Xenia M. Cintron passed away peacefully on January 16, 2026.
She was born in Colon, Panama. She was a devoted mother and grandmother to four daughters, ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was a devout Catholic and a member of Saint John Neumann Catholic Church. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughters, Janet Carrero, Loren Alton, Katherine Cobb, Rachel Cintron; grandchildren, Vanessa Carrero, Christina Carrero, Andrew Alton, Bruce Cobb, Hudson Cobb, Victoria Cobb, Parker Cobb, Gabriel Rivera, Austin Stewart, and Madison Stewart; and five great-grandchildren Juliana Rodriguez, Adriana Rodriguez, Gabriela Rodriguez, Ta’Niya Huggins, and JaKobi White.
A visitation will be held on Friday, January 23 from 6pm until 8pm, with a rosary one hour prior at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC 29209. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, January 26 at 12pm at Saint John Neumann Catholic Church 721 Polo Road, Columbia, SC 29223. A burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
