On Saturday, January 17th, Terry Deleno Reynolds, Age 80 of Forest VA, passed away surrounded by his loved ones. Terry was a devout Christian and cherished the teachings of Jesus Christ. Terry had so much faith in God, he trusted deeply, prayed faithfully and lived out his blessings through acts of love and service to others.
Terry was born in Lynchburg on April 14, 1945, to Madeline and Earnest Reynolds. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, brother-in-law and friend.
He attended EC Glass High School and was employed by Alliance Industrial.
Terry was known for his dedication, kindness and LOVE of his work at Alliance Industrial. He was a faithful employee there for 45+ years. He left way before the sun came up with a smile and came home from work in the evening with a smile. As recently as last year, he was still talking about going back to work part-time. He is the only man that doesn’t believe in Retirement, he believed you should always work until the day you leave this world.
Terry met the love of his life, Mariea, 60+ years ago. Terry and Mariea would go to the park where they would play records and dance!!! Throughout life, Terry would tell everyone how much he loved her; he said that Mariea was the most beautiful person he’d ever seen, and she still was today. They have been together ever since…. Terry loved his fur baby, Myrtle (his dog). He would get up in the morning, drink his coffee then sit in his recliner and rock Myrtle ALL day!!!
Terry had a special friend, Jerry Howell, his grandchildren’s father. They would enjoy rides in the country and the mountains, going out for breakfast or lunch and just spending time together. They had a special bond; he was like a son to Terry.
Everyone who knew Terry knew how much he loved playing Golf, long rides in the Mountains and he loved all the sweet animals (and of course his Mariea). If you went riding with him, he would stop the car to rescue turtles that were on the road. When Tiffany was little, he stopped the car to catch a wild rabbit for Tiffany as a pet.
Terry is lovingly remembered by his Wife, Mariea Reynolds, his daughter, Tiffany Reynolds, his Brother-in-law Jeff Hamlett, his Grandchildren Ryan Howell and Trinity, Casey Baldwin and Tristen, his Great Granddaughter Emmie Baldwin and his Great-Grandson, Mikey Mccoy and many special nieces and nephews. Terry is preceded in death by his mother, Madelyn Reynolds and his father, Ernest Reynolds, Brothers and Sister-In-Law, Horrace Reynolds, JB Reynolds and Barbara.
Although Terry is well known for his dedication to Alliance, he loved his work so much as well as everyone he worked with BUT his favorite role was ‘Papa’. He treasured the time he spent with his grandkids and great grandkids.
Terry’s life was a blessing, his memory a treasure and his love a gift that will remain forever. He was the best husband to Mariea, Daddy to Tiffany, and ‘Papa’ to Ryan and Casey! Terry treated
everyone with respect and was one of the rare gentlemen that still exists. As someone said, to know Terry is to love him; he will be greatly missed by everyone that knew and loved him.
The family would like to thank the caring and compassionate staff with Centra Hospice. Donations in Terry’s memory can be made to the American Cancer Society.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at Tree of Life Ministries from noon until 1:00 P.M. followed by a funeral service at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Ray Kingrea officiating. Interment will be in Fort Hill Memorial Park.
