Ellen Marie Stevens, 62, of Columbia SC passed away on January 15, 2026. 

Ellen was a vibrant, loving, and kind soul whose warmth touched everyone she met. She was a devoted mom, a cherished “nama,” an adoring dog mom, a baby sister, a cool aunt, and a one-of-kind friend. Her sassy, strong, independent, and sometimes bossy spirit made her unforgettable, and the love she gave to her family, friends, and pets will be remembered forever.

Ellen’s infectious energy also extended to her work, where she built countless lasting friendships over the years. Those who worked alongside her remember her hard work, her kindness, and the way she always went above and beyond for everyone, leaving a mark on all those she met.

Her family, friends, and coworkers were all touched by her laughter, love, and remarkable spirit. Ellen leaves behind countless memories and a legacy of love that will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eleanor and Nick Zaharichuk. She is survived by her siblings, Wayne Zaharichuk (Sandy), Carol Harrison, and Linda Zaharichuk-Wiley (Pat); her children, Dana Mehl (Kyle), Danielle Loxton-Geddie (Emmanuel), and Dj Loxton (Amanda); her grandchildren, Ethan Sterling, Julian Geddie, Cam Sterling, Logan Sterling, Gavin Sterling, Layne Loxton, and Amelia Loxton; her dog, Scooby-Doo; and many nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

Ellen’s Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at The Old Mill Brew Pub, 711 East Main Street, Lexington SC 29072.
