Charlene Tragord, of Sun City West, Arizona, (formerly of Cedar Falls, Iowa) passed away peacefully on January 16, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Charlene was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years, Charles “Chuck” Glenn Tragord, as well as other cherished family members who welcomed her home.

Charlene devoted her life to her family, whom she loved fiercely and selflessly. She was a devoted wife, a nurturing mother, and a proud grandmother whose greatest joy came from caring for others. Her children, Jenn Tragord and Brad Tragord, and her daughter-in-law, Sarah Payne Tragord, were the center of her world. She was a loving and attentive grandmother to Brandon and Sean Tragord, who brought her endless pride, laughter, and happiness.

Charlene’s faith was something she lived daily through her actions. She embodied a true servant’s heart — always putting the needs of others before her own, offering kindness without expectation, and serving quietly but faithfully wherever she was needed. Her compassion, humility, and grace were a reflection of her unwavering trust in God.

Charlene also dedicated more than 30 years of her life to her work at Walmart, where she was known for her strong work ethic, reliability, and genuine care for both customers and coworkers.

Charlene enjoyed tennis, a pastime that brought her joy, friendship, and community throughout her life. Whether on the court or cheering others on, she appreciated the connection and camaraderie the sport provided, valuing time spent with people even more than the game itself.

Those who knew Charlene will remember her gentle strength, warm smile, and generous spirit. She had a remarkable ability to make others feel cared for and at peace, and her legacy of love, faith, and service will continue to live on through her family and all whose lives she touched.
