Thomas Troy Fickling, 65, of Columbia died January 11, 2026. He was the son of Walter Thomas Fickling and Anne Fickling Hammond.

Troy attended Beaufort Academy, Clemson University and the University of South Carolina where he studied business. Troy’s entrepreneurial spirit and attention to detail brought him many successes in real estate and in his love of the restaurant franchise business where he partnered with his father.

Troy was a very private man, fun loving, quick witted, kindhearted, the life of the party, with deep rooted moral values. He was an over achiever who took great pride in everything he did in his life. This led to many accolades and awards of excellence in his career.

Survivors include his parents, his son, Thomas Brooks Fickling, his sister Candace Limehouse, his only grandchild, Ellis Anne Fickling, and his beloved fiancé, Lisa. He was blessed with extended family; Lauren, Hunter, Trey, London, Rick, Tim and Mandy.

He was predeceased by his wife Terrell Hudson Fickling.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to SCOA at 166 Stoneridge Drive, Suite 100, Columbia SC 29210.
