Jim Newton, 88, of The Villages Florida, passed away on December 25, 2025
in The Villages Florida.
Jim was born Deland Florida to Bess and James B. Newton on July 3, 1937
He graduated Deland High School. Worked as Electrician at Nasa, Computer Programmer Analysis Volusia County Data Processing He married Joy Ann Venuti on July 25, 1981 in Poughkeepsie New York.
He worked as a Systems Analyst for Research Institute of America for 8 years in Mt Kisco New York.
He worked as a Senior Systems Analyst for Attorneys Title for 16 years in Orlando Florida.
He was involved in Pop Warner Football, Hicks of '56, Bowling Leagues, Stetson Baptist Church Choir, Wood Working Club, LLCOG Food Pantry and Choir,
Worship the King Greeter.
He enjoyed Worshiping God, Family, Nature, Computers, Oil Painting, Singing in the Choir, Carpentry.
Jim is survived by Joy Newton, Kristi and Kevin Siegel, Trudy and Harold Masterson, Loretta Venuti.
Nieces and Nephews: Ann and John Beecham, Trudi and Brian Kemmis, Louis and Brenda Venuti.
Mike Franco, Laura and Ron Langoski, Amy and Don Coates
Celebration of Life will be held 11:00am Saturday February 21, 2026
At Hiers-Baxley with Brenda Ammons of Worship the King, officiating.
Lunch to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
