Robert James “Bob” Grieve
Robert Grieve passed away peacefully in the arms of his loving wife on Friday, January 16, 2026. He was 73 years old.
Bob was born on October 30, 1952, and grew up in West Seattle. He graduated from West Seattle High School in 1971 and was on the track and football teams. He attended Western Washington University and entered the medical field as an EMT/firefighter for SE Thurston County District 2 Yelm. He also was an EMS instructor for Thurston County Medic One and for EMTA.
Bob loved fishing, reading, writing science fiction, and watching and cheering for his beloved Huskies.
He was a history buff, especially about the Civil War and WWll. He was proud of his Scottish heritage and enjoyed listening to bagpipe music.
He was involved in organizing NORWESCON, a science fiction convention held in Seattle every year and was awarded a Lifetime Membership for his many years of dedicated work.
Bob is survived by his loving wife Julie (Ali), his daughter Autumn Santercier, his 3 grandchildren, his sister Jo Miller, brother William Grieve and sister Jan Hilber, as well as many dear friends. He was pre-deceased by his parents Tom & Shirley Grieve and his sister, Laurie Raymond.
He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
