**Obituary for Arthur Andre Abbood, Jr.** Arthur Andre Abbood, Jr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, peacefully passed away on January 16, 2026, at the age of 81 in Charlotte, NC.
Born on August 26, 1944, in Lowell, Massachusetts to the late Arthur Andre and Rose (Hamwey) Abbood. Arthur's life was marked by his unwavering love for his family. He is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, Jean. Together, they nurtured a loving family that includes their daughter Cheryl Molle and her husband Alexander of Raynham, MA, and their son Jeffrey Abbood and his wife Mary of Charlotte, NC. Arthur found great joy in the company of his grandchildren—Leah McLaughlin, and her husband Marc of Summerville, SC, Alexander Molle and his partner Jason Francis of Boston, MA, Karissa Molle and her fiancé Jackson Towery of Clifton, TX, Nicholas Abbood, and Sophie Abbood of Charlotte, NC. His legacy continues through his cherished great-grandchildren, Maddox McLaughlin, Nico McLaughlin, and Everett Towery. He is also survived by his two sisters, Nancy Grohmann and Carol Abbood of Naples, FL.
Arthur graduated from Lowell University in Massachusetts with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. Following his graduation, he entered the US Air Force and achieved the rank of Captain.
In 1991, he started an engineering firm with Martin Holloran, Abbood/Holloran Associates, now known as AHA Consulting Engineers.
Arthur was an avid golfer. He was a member of Plymouth Country Club in Plymouth, MA for 30 years and The Classics Country Club in Naples, FL for 20 years.
Arthur's achievements and character will be remembered by those who loved him. He had an undeniable ability to make everyone who crossed his path feel valued. His life was a testament to the strength of family bonds and the importance of kindness and generosity. As we honor Arthur's memory, let us carry forward his legacy of love and compassion.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to celebrate his remarkable life.
He will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the memories of those who loved him.
