Stanley Wallace Fudge, born on February 18, 1961, in Lexington, South Carolina, passed away on January 16, 2026, in Columbia, South Carolina. He leaves behind a legacy defined by kindness, integrity, and an unwavering spirit that touched the lives of all who knew him.

Stanley was a proud father to Eric Fudge (Devon) and Ashley Weld. He was also  "Grand-daddy" to 4 grandchildren: Caroline, Conner, James, and Lilly and a special "Uncle" to Karmen and Lannie Cooper. He also leaves behind a beloved brother, David (Alice) and the love of his life, Melissa, as well as a host of other cherished family members.

He was deeply committed and devoted his whole career to the grocery industry, being a proud employee and manager of many Piggly Wiggly stores around the state.

When not working and even after retiring, he found true happiness either on a cruise ship or visiting Las Vegas where he spent most of his free time.

Stanley was known for his ability to talk to strangers, who quickly became friends, and his sense of humor. He had the unique ability to make others feel at ease, and his presence brought comfort to those around him.

As we remember Stanley, let us carry forward his legacy of compassion and connection. He will be missed profoundly by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Stanley’s life may have come to a close, but his spirit will continue to guide and inspire those who cherish his memory. May he rest in peace, enveloped in the love he so freely shared with the world.

The family would like to thank the generous nurses and staff at Prisma Health Richland and Agape Hospice.
