William John Kozak, age 58, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 7, 2026. William was born on January 19, 1967 to Gregory and Mary Kozak in Escanaba, Michigan.
During William’s years, he enjoyed camping, fishing, traveling, and spending time with grandchildren. William loved being a Chicago Bears fan and watching the games. William cherished quiet moments, taking the family dog (Bella) to the dog park and on long walks. William’s greatest, most cherished, loving moments were with his grandchildren.
William is preceded in death by his mother; Mary (Lodgard) Kozak; his father, Gregory James Kozak; his brother, Gregory James Kozak, Jr; and his sister, Carol Marie Kozak.
William is survived by his common law partner of 8 years, Patricia Kumar; his son, Cameron (Tabitha) Kozak, and 6 grandchildren; his son, Nathaniel (Katharina) Kozak, and 4 grandchildren; his daughter, Aubrianna (Ryan) Shaw, and 2 grandchildren, his sister; Ruthanne (Robert) Oleske-Cory and 7 Children, and his sister, Roberta Walker and 3 Children.
William will be remembered for his special connections he had with family and friends.
Rest in peace, no worries anymore.
Schneider-Michaelis Funeral Home is assisting the family.
