Peggy S. Richmond, 87, of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away January 19, 2026. Born October 20, 1938, in Mt. Holly, NC, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Mary Walker.
She worked for Sears at Southpark in the appliance department for Several years and enjoyed Gardening, Traveling, Cooking, Cross Stitching, and Playing games on the computer.
Peggy is survived by her sons Rodney Richmond (Liz), Kevin Richmond, daughter Sybil Morrison (Malcolm), seven grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sons Jim Richmond and Jeffrey Richmond, sisters, Grace Walker, Juanita Martin, Joyce Beaty, Jane Hefner, and brother Harold Walker.
The family will receive friends from 10am to 11am on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at Hankins and Whittington Funeral Service, 1111 East Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28203, with services following at 11am in the funeral home chapel.
Interment will be in Stanley Cemetery at Christ's Lutheran Church, 203 South Main St., Stanley, NC, 28164.
